Step back in time and dance the night away with the greatest music videos of all time!

On Saturday 10 December, Kristian Fletcher hosts RETRO REWIND, a video party playing iconic music from the 1950s through to the 1990s at New Globe Theatre, 220 Brunswick St Fortitude Valley.

A collection of classic music videos will play on the retro cinema’s big screen from 6pm to midnight.

OUTLINE OF THE NIGHT
6.00pm-7.30pm – 1950s and 1960s music videos
7.30pm-9.00pm – 1970s music videos
9.00pm-10.30pm – 1980s music videos
10.30pm-Midnight – 1990s music videos

Fletcher has dug into the vault the bring you over ninety video clips that shaped popular culture, including the music of such artists as Elvis, The Beatles, ABBA, Madonna, Spice Girls and many many more.

“The night will feature some of the most influential music videos of all time, and songs which shaped popular culture,” Fletcher said.

Six hours of non stop hits from the 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, 1980s and 1990s!

SYNOPSIS:

BAD SANTA 2 returns Billy Bob Thornton to the screen as everyone’s favourite anti-hero, Willie Soke. Fueled by cheap whiskey, greed and hatred, Willie teams up once again with his angry little sidekick, Marcus (Tony Cox), to knock off a Chicago charity on Christmas Eve. Along for the ride is ‘the kid’ – chubby and cheery Thurman Merman (Brett Kelly), a 250-pound ray of sunshine who brings out Willie’s sliver of humanity.

Monthly Friday nights in the newly refurbished Lumen Room, Metro Arts.

FROM 7PM – our program will include a classic short, followed by the feature itself.

Screening a two-hour immersive program representing cinema-going in the 1920s.

The intimate Lumen Room will transport patrons back to the Golden Age of the Twenties with movies starring such iconic names as Charlie Chaplin, Harold Lloyd and more.

A live pianist will play a musical score alongside the silent features.
