Synopsis:
When a successful British ghost writer, THE GHOST WRITER< agrees to complete the memoirs of former British Prime Minister ADAM LANG, his agent assures him it’s the opportunity of a lifetime. But the project seems doomed from the start? not least because his predecessor on the project, Lang’s long?term aide, died in an unfortunate accident. THE GHOST WRITER flies out to work on the project, in the middle of winter, in an oceanfront house on an island off the US Eastern seaboard. But the day after he arrives, a former British cabinet minister accuses Lang of authorizing the illegal seizure of suspected terrorists and handing them over for torture by the CIA—a war crime. The controversy brings reporters and protesters swarming to the island mansion where Lang is staying with his wife, RUTH, and his personal assistant (and mistress), AMELIA. As THE GHOST WRITER works, he begins to uncover clues suggesting his predecessor may have stumbled on a dark secret linking Lang to the CIA—and that somehow this information is hidden in the manuscript he left behind. Was Lang in the service of the American intelligence agency while he was Prime Minister? And was THE GHOST WRITER’s predecessor murdered because of the appalling truth he uncovered? Resonating with topical themes, this atmospheric and suspenseful political thriller is a story of deceit and betrayal on every level – sexual, political and literary. In a world in which nothing, and no one, is as it seems, THE GHOST WRITER quickly discovers that the past can be deadly and that history is decided by whoever stays alive to write it.

” Who would you like to be a “Ghost” of and help write their memoirs?”
I would love to be the Ghost of the sage Valmiki- the one who wrote India’s first epic ‘Ramayana’!!!
Hmmm, tough question, for me, it’s a toss up between Tom Cruise (couch jumping Scientologist) and Lady Gaga (does she, or doesn’t she…..) . They are both so fascinating, but I would have to say Lady Gaga. At least she could keep me enterained with some cool tunes while i ghost write…
Who I’d like to see as a Ghost wouldn’t all the ladies agree on the Australian actor Hugh Jackman
His life successes are definitely worth putting into a memoir
I wouldn’t mind ghost writing the memoirs of Ewan McGregor (an not just because he is starring in this particular film). He has had a interesting and varied career as a film and stage actor, and takes part in many adventurous activities that would be well worth writing about. Plus, he’s a bit of a honey and one of the few male actors prepared to undertake a bit of full frontal nudity (when appropriate, of course!)
I’d love to write the memoirs of either my Grandad or Nanna who passed away within the last few years. I think would be nice to learn much more than what I currently already know about their lives.
i woudnt mind writing memoirs for Angelina Jolie..!
i would like Tim Burton to be a ghost, hes so fascinating and to be able to get inside his mind for even a little would be amazing
I would like to be the Ghost and write the memoirs of Audrey Hepburn. This outstanding lady lived through WWII, changed the film industry and revolutionised the image of women on the silver screen. Furthermore she was a UNICEF goodwill embassador and she dedicated her life to helping impoverished children in the poorest nations. Now that’s a woman role-model to look up to!!

I would like to be the ghost of Carl Sagan, the famous American astronomer, astrophysicist, author and cosmologist. He is so interesting and his voice and mannerisms are hilarious. ‘Elllo all ooomans’. Also he married 3 times so he was a scientist, but a SEXY scientist
