Amy Walduck: Opening night of Dani Girl was an absolutely delightful experience. A touching story that is dealt with lovingly and tastefully by up and coming Director Carmen Glanville and her engaging cast of four. Featuring some genuinely hilarious moments, charming vocal work and a clever set – this is a must see show. Well done to all involved.
@lukejvenables: @reviewbrisbane Dani Girl was brilliant! Full review at http://ninjachicken.wordpress.com
Nerida Hart: Who would have thought that a musical about a young girl learning her leukemia has returned would have been what it was! DANI GIRL was just amazing. Sitting here the morning after the opening night at the Harvest Rain Theatre Company’s warehouse I am still in awe of the production. Coming into the evening I was expecting it to be quite a sombre, over emotional piece, but I am the first to willingly admit the opposite.
DANI GIRL struck me on so many notes that I cannot count them all. I found that I was deeply connected with each and every one of the four cast – I got drawn into Dani’s story, playing alongside her, her imaginary friend Raph, and her newfound friend for life Marty “Meriwether”. Not only are the cast to be commended for this, but the whole direction by Carmen Glanville brought the whole production together to make it was it was. I flipped between finding myself laughing out loud to trying to hold back the tears.
This production is only on for the next two nights – get out there and get yourself a ticket while you still can (its only $20!). Don’t let the fact that they are a “bunch of interns” put you off – I cannot speak highly enough about the professionalism and talent of the show! 5/5

I would be lost without my sister in my life. She competes with me, inspires me, pushes me and supports me to become the person I want to be.
Toothbrush. Wakes you up in the morning and prepares you for the day. Calms you for sleep at night. An anytime pick-me-up. Stranded on a desert island = toothbrush!
A little cliched perhaps, but I would truly be completely lost without the benefits of whistling a simple, hummable show-tune! #DaniGirl
I would be lost without my ability to hear… to not hear music, my passion would not exist
I would be lost without the music I listen to everyday of my life, the songs I dance to every waking moment and the plays of which I act out, every spare moment I get!
i think i would have to say my voice.. it is my life and my future in both my singing and my job as a teacher. without it i’m not sure what i would do.
I would be lost without the ability to hear…it would be devastating never to hear my favourite music again. I can get through anything if I have music to lift me through.
I would be lost without Books, they can teach you lessons, open your mind, take you on journeys, etc. Books keep me constantly dazzled about life, people and the world around us.

Director Carmen Glanville and the cast of Dani Girl have created an entirely captivating and breathtaking performance. The tenderness of the story had the audience in tears, while the clever wit and brilliant delivery had them laughing the next minute. 5 Star show, definitely not one to miss!
My identity
Hope … above everything else i think hope is what gets us through the day
It’s a little depressing, but I’d be lost without my laptop. My work, my music, my life – many of the most important things in my life are on there….#DaniGirl
