SYNOPSIS:
Engine is a highly charged theatrical event about family, friends and cars – of fixing what’s broken and celebrating life. Bob Baines (Home and Away) and Melanie Zanetti (The Little Dog Laughed) join a host of young performers from three Brisbane high schools in this compelling production. It’s a month after Stevie’s car crash and ‘Grumpop’ has lost a grandson and Natasha has lost a brother. What really happened that night? Natasha wants to remember Stevie by finishing the project car he was working on before the crash. Grumpop is a retired mechanic and he could help but he just wants to put it all behind him… It’s a funny and moving roller-coaster ride that will break your heart and mend it.
